The answer to this frequently-asked question is unfortunately another question; “What are you expecting from the job boards?”

 Now we’re going to put forth a bit of a challenge.

Based on your experience with job boards, good or bad, I challenge any sales professional to answer “no” to the following question:

Would you like to find a great sales position without spending tons of time on the job boards?

So what exactly is a job board?

Paraphrasing from Wikipedia:

A job board is a website that facilitates job hunting and (they) range from large scale generalist sites to niche job boards for job categories … Users can typically deposit their résumés and submit them to potential employers and recruiters for review, while employers and recruiters can post job ads and search for potential employees.

Three companies that I’m sure we’re all familiar with are Indeed, ZipRecruiter and Monster. These sites attract millions of job seekers daily and post millions of millions of jobs annually.

These companies are all very successful, and we applaud their success. But what is the right job search strategy for you?

Note that the key phrase here is “millions of job seekers.”

So what’s the takeaway?

Job boards can be part of a successful job hunt. Statistics show, however, that this type of search can be extremely random and time-consuming. Statistics also show that most jobs are not posted online.  

As a focused, specialized medical sales professional you need a focused, specialized placement team on your side.
